Job Description
2. Benchmarking of competitions vehicle for features, ergonomics & Weight optimization.
3. Design adherence to Performance, Quality Cost and weight and deliver on time.
4. Provide Design feasibility to Styling by preparing multiple part proposals for improving part quality and interface.
5. Preparation of DCS & Support PPT for Reviews Conduct DFMEA sessions.
6. Do the preliminary Tooling feasibility of parts with tool direction definition, parting line & Slider/ Lifter construction.
7. Data releases for Vendor on Board, CAE & to Suppliers for Feasibility.
8. Release of 3D models in Team center /PLM systems with related Quality checks.
9. Perform the DMU, Assembly and Service study on designs
10. Provide 3D CATIA models with GD &T Annotations
11. CAD Design proposals in consultation with internal, external (Supplier) experts.
12. Support to CFT teams for part development, Cost saving and quality initiatives.
13. Resolution of build-related issues along with proper analysis
Education & Job Qualification
1. Experience in Trim Design at Automobile OEM or Tier 1 around 4Yrs. to 6 Yrs.
2. Experience in Interior Trims (Pillar trims, RQT) design and Development.
3. Understand global trends in Pillar trim in line with global competition for features.
4. Knowledge of plastic part Design & tooling for checking tooling feasibility with tool direction definition, parting line & Slider/ Lifter construction & Grain mapping.
5. Should have exposure to Interface checks, DMU, Manufacturing and Service requirements.
6. Knowledge of plastics parts Gap-Flush, BSR requirements.
7. Awareness of CAE, DFMEA, Vehicle DVP & Validation requirements
8. CATIA parametric Modeling.
9. Understand the GD & T and 3D annotation on CATIA model
10. Expert in Catia V5 and engineering data management systems.
11. Understanding of Perceived quality and thorough knowledge of design guidelines
